Shoreline
Having the legs and showing her shoulders
Running around and browning her skin
Fumes from the heat rise blurring my vision
Sharks circle run picking up the scent
Asking myself, is this where I’ve landed?
Charting the course, it never showed me these signs
Paradise deep in troubled waters
These are the isles that bring men to sea
I will climb aboard this dream
And sail the rivers true you’ll see
It ‘ill take but one more day
To score my fate in the sand
I’ll stare at the shoreline tonight
And trend in the waves beyond the sorrow
Wade in the streams of deep moonlight
I hope that they find me whole tomorrow
Having to quench the thirst of her body
Swaying a bit and stirring below
Some of them wise, some with eye blinders
A shallow gene pool it’s steady as she goes
Turning about I see past my shoulder
Drowning mates who had failed to grasp hold
Look in these eyes though a bit weathered
Treasuring the wisdom is as good as gold
